Guided Tour: Discover the Monument to the Battle of the Nations
Let us tell you about the eventful history of this monumental structure. What do the figures within the monument signify, and why was the Monument to the Battle of the Nations considered the most ambitious monument project of the German Empire? These and other questions will be answered during our introductory tour of one of Leipzig’s most fascinating buildings.
We recommend arriving at the ticket office approximately 15 minutes before the tour begins. Groups of ten or more people, or groups requesting a tour in English, should book an exclusive appointment through the Visitor Services.
Cost: Admission plus €3
Meeting point: Ticket office
March
Wed March 25th | 6 PM
Open Event: Monumental Vocal – Community Singing at the Monument to the Battle of the Nations
This open singing format focuses on shared musical experiences. Participants will sing simple songs in various languages – in a relaxed and informal setting. Words, motifs, and melodies will spontaneously form loops, which the group will then pick up, develop, and recombine. Every voice is welcome and contributes to the vibrant musical process.
All you need is your own voice, a love of singing together, and a willingness to fill the space with music and create special, shared moments of sound.
Led by: Johanna Rost
Cost: Donation-based
Note: Please bring a cushion if needed.
